SPORTS
Winners never quit.
Quitters never win.
We play ball sports:
... play basketball.
... play golf, tennis, football, volleyball, baseball, etc.
But, we go running and swimming, and we do Judo, Taekwondo and Wushu!
(For some odd reason, we also "play" a musical instrument and chess!)
The ancient Greeks loved sports mainly as prepartion for war, i.e. the first Olympics.
The Romans invented spectator sports though they were rather gruesome, i.e. gladitorial games.
Now-a-days sports are about the best way to stay healthy, happy and have good relationships with other healthy happy people, in my opinion!

Students may know that I lead the Wushu club at AOHUA but probably mostly don't know that I'm into a lot of other sports too...
Triathlon (铁人三项) is challenging. It's a combination of swimming, bicycling and running. I'm not too good, but I find it entertaining!

It's my strong feeling that people who do sports are usually happier, healthier and more productive than those that don't. My advice is start slow, and don't push yourself too much. If you have fun, you'll want to do it more and then you'll get better naturally over time.
